Introduction
Several years of hard work, major capital investment and the sheer determination to succeed by our port tenants has resulted in a tremendous amount of new and continuing business at the port. In addition, repeated hurricane devastation along the Gulf Coast is a windfall in trade for the Port of Pensacola. As ports along the coast have been damaged, shippers have turned more towards the Port of Pensacola and there is every reason to believe that a substantial part of that business will remain even as damaged ports return to service. Already, the resulting increase in business has led the Port of Pensacola towards greater financial security than it has experienced in more than a decade.
